Rainbow Chakra Meditation

Steps to Rainbow Chakra Meditation

To start with, find yourself a quiet and comfortable place to sit back and relax.Take three deep breaths. Breathe in through your nostril and breathe out through your mouth. Each time you exhale, mentally say the word relax to yourself. After the first three breaths, continue  breathing normal with your mouth remaining closed, inhaling and exhaling only through your nostril.

  • As you continue to breathe, imagine or visualise yourself fully covered with a huge fluffy white cloud. Stay inside the white cloud for a few minutes, witnessing the divine white colour,  and enjoying the purity of air contained within the cloud, as you breathe into it.
  • Once you feel you are thoroughly soaked inside the white cloud, you become one with the cloud, you become a part of the cloud, bring your attention towards  your root chakra or the point at the base of your spine. Still fully covered by the white cloud, sense or connect to your root chakra, imagine or visualise smudging it with light white red hue much like a cloud colour that would appear if you mix white with red, not a pink but a very light shade of whitish red. Smudge your base chakra with the whitish red hue or whitish red cloud. Smudge with the intention of cleansing or unblocking the chakra, thereby activating it.If you can’t sense your base chakra, you can simply say to your mind a suggestion “I am smudging my root chakra with light white red cloud to cleanse, unblock and activate it”. Pause for a few seconds while still being aware of your breath, peaceful and rhythmic. Soak your root chakra in the white red cloud and when you feel its enough, then call upon the big white cloud.
  • Again,  imagine or visualise yourself fully covered by the white fluffy cloud. When you see or feel yourself completely soaked in the white cloud, bring your attention towards your sacral chakra, the area just below your lower abdomen. Once you are able to sense or connect to your sacral chakra, visualise or imagine smudging it with light white orange hue similar to a whitish orange cloud. Smudge your sacral chakra and soak it in the whitish orange cloud for a few seconds. As you did with the base chakra. Intent to cleanse, unblock and activate this chakra, whatever and how much so ever the need be for this chakra. If you find it difficult to connect or sense the chakra that you are smudging, simply suggest your mind, “I am smudging my______ (the chakra that you want your focus on, here it is sacral chakra) with whitish ______ cloud. (colour of that chakra, for the sacral it is whitish orange) to cleanse, unblock and activate to the optimum that is required for me at this time. Soak your sacral chakra with the white orange cloud for a few seconds and once you feel it’s enough, bring your focus back onto the big white fluffy cloud. You can mentally call the white cloud by simply saying in your mind “ white cloud of divine light and purity come back and cover me fully”.
  • Once you see or feel yourself fully covered with the big pure white could, repeat the same exercise with your solar plexus chakra which is located roughly above your navel. For the solar plexus chakra use whitish yellow hue or cloud for smudging. Once  smudged and soaked, you allow it to be cleansed, unblocked and activated.
  • Call back the white cloud of divine light and  move up to the heart chakra which is roughly located in the centre of your chest. Apply the same technique to  the heart and all other chakras remaining, in sequence after solar plexus there is the heart chakra that corresponds to the light whitish green cloud.
  • Now, the throat chakra, located in the centre of your throat, it corresponds to the light whitish blue or sky blue. After soaking, cleansing, unblocking and activating the throat chakra and under the presence of the big white cloud you move further up to the  third eye chakra, located within the two eye brows, in the centre of your forehead this chakra corresponds to light whitish indigo cloud. Again smudge, soak, cleanse, unblock and activate.
  • Call back the divine light of the white cloud and finally focus upon your crown chakra, located roughy in the top centre of your head, it corresponds to light whitish violet or purple cloud. Repeat the same exercise. Soak, cleanse, unblock and activate.
  • Finally one last time call upon the divine white cloud, surround yourself, fully covered by the white cloud, merge yourself deep into the white colour feel its purity, power and protection. As you become one with the cloud again, call upon the Rainbow light to descend upon you and cover you from your base chakra all the way up to your crown chakra, following  the pattern or sequence of the rainbow colours. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Feel, see, visualise or  imagine the beautiful spectrum of rainbow, the seven colours covering each of your chakra with the corresponding colour.
  • Witness the rainbow light up and energise all your seven chakras, from the lowest to the highest. Stay with the rainbow light for a moment and then one last time call back the big white cloud. Cover yourself fully in the white cloud. Thank the white cloud and the beautiful Rainbow and the time and space of your life that allowed you to experience this technique and meditation.
  • You can  practice this meditation whenever you feel the need to cleanse, activate and energise your seven chakras.
