Animal Reiki And Chakra System: Reiki healing is equally effective with animals as much as it is with humans. In addition, with animals when practicing Reiki an exchange of healing takes place between the animal and the healer or practitioner. Sharing of the spiritual energy is common when doing Reiki with animals.
Sometimes as a practitioner you may realize or sense this exchange instantly while other times it may be perceived by you later on benefiting you in many ways. Success of animal Reiki also depends upon how open the practitioner is towards sharing this spiritual energy, by opening yourself up for channeling as well as receiving. Animal Reiki is never one sided, it’s something you share with an equal partner and that partner is the animal himself. The energy exchange attains healthy completion, when the healing vibes passed on by the animal is well appreciated by the practitioner, during the healing session.
Respecting this aspect of Animal Reiki is important for gaining success in this practice. Animal reiki can be practiced with various species of animals. The list of animals for reiki may not be restricted to just dogs and cats or fishes and birds but covers all pet animals, including farm animals, as well as zoo animals and also animals at the shelter homes. There is no restriction to practicing Reiki with animals out in nature, only if you wish to. Be it a bunch of squirrels at the local park, a lonely crow atop a building, bees and butterflies in your garden, fishes in the city pond, each one is equally eligible for sharing this spiritual energy with you.
ALL YOU NEED is COMPASSION and an open heart radiating with LOVE.
The basis of Animal Reiki
Just like human energy body is composed of seven major chakras, a meridian system and auric layers. So does animal energy body also comprises of seven major chakras, an animal meridian system as well as different layers of Aura.
The seven chakras and the major meridian points in animal body are mostly located starting from the tip of the nose all the way up to the tip of the tail. The location of chakras and some of their properties differ from the ones in humans but the basic properties remain more or less the same. For example the first chakra among the animals is located a little above the tip of the nose and its functions involve communication, connecting to the primary senses- of smelling, eating, tasting, seeing and hearing. The second chakra is the spiritual center of the animal and is located above the forehead. The third is located around the neck region and is about animal’s relationship and family in the world, their relationship with humans and their owners as well animals of the same and different species. The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh chakras are located along the spine up to the tail bone.
The fourth chakra is the heart chakra, the fundamental point of reiki healing, heart chakra is the point of our link with the animal when we meditate with them and practice Reiki with them. The heart chakra also determines the animal’s wellbeing and happiness. The fifth chakra is related to the physical health, digestion and growth of the animal. The sixth is the sex and reproduction chakra. The seventh chakra is the root that links to the instinctive survival of the animal, its existence in the physical world. Just like how Reiki is focused in general, similarly with animals also it may be focused upon specific chakras.
These chakras can be assessed and provided reiki in order to balance the chakra energy and also to clear the energy blockage at various points within the energy body and auric layers of the animals. But this technique doesn’t always work with animals sometimes just letting reiki flow through you intentionally directed towards the animal is the way to work. And it is solely dependent upon the free will of the animal to accept and receive or refuse the healing. You can never force reiki onto the animal. It all depends at the discretion of the animal whether they choose to participate and share the energy space with you or not.
I really had a good time reading all of this post, its really nice. I might have a suggestion, but dont want to cause a quarrel 😀 Anyway, keep up the awesome work, and until next time!
