 Whenever you feel the slightest imbalance in your mind-body-spirit connect or a sense of intense anxiety, stress, emotional imbalance, even mood swings,  remind yourself, it’s time to ground. Indulging in simple, insignificant yet pleasurable activities and exercises is the trick to regain and maintain the equilibrium.
Here are some easy, fun yet effective Grounding Techniques.

Effective Grounding Techniques

Nature is the best medicine. Immerse in nature  Spending time in nature whether it’s your little garden or the city park or a leisure walk along the beach. Step away if possible from man-made distractions. Its always therapeutic to go back to the source, the nature. Walking bare feet on the wet sand or the green helps. Gazing the Sun by the day or the stars and Moon by the night works for people. Listening to the waves of the ocean or the chirping birds, nature is abundant with grounding options. Step out and enjoy.

Creative flow– Meet your inner child. Allow an outlet to your creativity. Be, it  art, painting, poetry, doodling, craft or cooking. Whatever that your heart picks up as a healthy outlet for the free flow of your creative expressions, practice that.

Enjoy some music – Listen to your favorite music. It not just speaks to your soul and alters your emotions but works on every cell of your body. Relaxing your brain to tapping your toes, all that good music does to you, is a part of grounding.

Release unnecessary emotions. Grounding also means getting rid of all the excess message units that your mind picks up. All that meaningless chatter from your immediate or remote environment needs to flush out. They may be of no good to your wellbeing and blocking the circulation of good chi in you. is best to release what it does not serve our well being.

Talking out or reading- Sometimes simply talking out, helps in getting back on track. Sharing your emotions, doubts thoughts or simply exchanging words of wisdom helps in grounding too. Communicating with family, friend, pet or with yourself(i.e.self talk) brings about grounding. Secondary forms of communication like reading a motivational book or watching an enlightening video help into balance too.

Health and fitness- Anybody can get off balance if they are not treating their body well. A need for grounding happens when we stop taking care of ourselves. Remind yourself to be sensitive towards your physical health. What does the body want? Nutrients, more water or fluids, physical activity, a good night sleep or some dancing and jumping. The body always gives us signals for what needs to be done to maintain its status qu.  Listen to your body.

Above mentioned pointers are nothing new to any one of us but are just gentle reminders from one higher self to another. “Take care of yourself”.
