Within the word mindful resides the true meaning and the practice of Mindfulness. Mindfulness is a lot more than just a form of meditation. The true meaning of mindfulness is much more profound than one can imagine.
A Way of life
Mindfulness living often begins with baby steps forward, entering the world of Self-awareness. As time proceeds, the practice gradually transforms into a Way of life. People who practice mindful living, are likely to be at peace with themselves ever after.
There’s no rushing over things, stress is less, and anxiety is low almost nonexistent in the lives of such people. At the same time, the mind is alert and attentive, focus level is high and concentration is optimum. Life experiences are more fulfilling and Soul enriching.
This does not mean those who practice mindful living don’t face struggles in life. As a consequence, they are psychologically better equipped to handle the situation. They develop strong coping mechanisms over time.

Here n Now
Be it Meditation or everyday living, devote yourself fully to whatever you are doing. This way you instantly transform your very Being and the moment into a mindful one. Immerse your Self – mind, body, emotion, thoughts, and actions, fully into the moment you are in. You may call it “living in the moment”. Being in the “here and now”. Being your 100 percent in whatever you are at. Mindful living is about shifting your focus into the present. This may even mean an “Aha moment” of self-realization, for some.
Mindfulness can also be a moment of silence in meditation, a few minutes of deep breathing as you concentrate on each breath going in and out of your body. Enjoying oneself while exercising, cycling, dancing, cooking or reading a book, all are mindful activities. An expression of creativity or simply a time when you are not doing anything in particular. Just being an observer or witnessing all that surrounds you, is also a moment of mindfulness.
Practice a little mindfulness, here’s how?
Here’s an example of mindfulness, that may also be practiced as an exercise to experience mindfulness in everyday living. This can be any hour of the day, that you call free time.
For nature lovers, start with paying attention to the colors around you those of trees, flowers, ocean n the sand. For early risers focus on the numerous bird sounds in the morning. If you are a skywatcher, look up the clouds, enjoy the hues at sunrise or sunset, and perhaps gaze at the stars at night. The examples can be many. The most important part here is to Enjoy fully whatever that you are at. Thereby, allow yourself to be immersed in a “Here-n-Now moment”.
